F.A.Q.

> When should I book for 2017?

You can book right now on our website. This is the quickest way. For rented accommodation in July or August, or a pitch of your choice, we recommend that you book as soon as possible. Up-to-date planning schedules are displayed on the website. For further information, please feel free to contact us on 05 59 47 72 44. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday from 9 AM to noon.

> How does the WiFi work on campsite?

On the Atlantica campsite, we offer full WiFi coverage across the whole site. You can therefore connect anywhere on the site using WiFi passes, which you can buy online or at reception. If you're sat in the bar and have purchased a drink there, you can also benefit from an hour’s free connection (once a day).

> WHAT ABOUT HOLIDAYS DURING THE LOW SEASON?

Benefit from the advantages offered by the Atlantica campsite in the low season! The prices are lower, there's no rush to book your mobile home or pitch and you can choose your arrival and departure days. With our heated swimming pool and a wide selection of deckchairs, you'll find everything you need to relax.

> Camping-cars & motor-homes

Camping car owners are welcome: free service area on site, large pitches and easy access. Getting around the campsite is easy: the roadways are wide with no dead ends (so no reversing or difficult three-point turns needed to get out).

> Insurance and liability: The camper and the campsite

During their stay, campers are covered by civil liability insurance for all bodily injury or property damage for which the company has been found liable. The campsite will not be considered liable in the event of any theft, loss or damage of any kind (legal or personal belongings) occurring during your stay. Our civil liability does not cover thefts from or damage to tents, caravans, mobile homes or their contents. These provisions concerning the limitation of liability commitments are not dependent on the choice of an insurance option. They are defined by a common legal framework applicable to the whole profession. The insurance policy taken out complies with these provisions. For their part, campers must possess personal civil liability cover, covering any loss or damage they may cause to people or property. For further information, please contact your insurer or enquire on a legal forum.

> How are the pitches or mobile homes allocated?

Pitches are allocated in the order in which reservations arrive, taking account of the specific requests made (for example, a request to be next to friends and near or far from the swimming pool, etc.) and according to availability on the date on which your request is received. A mobile home may be occupied by the number of people for which it is designed and no more. Regarding the age of the occupants, we attach great importance to ensuring good neighbourly relations among our guests. Our establishment is popular with families. When accommodation is occupied by people of a rather "festive" temperament (young people or the not so young) upon arrival they will be made aware of the importance of ensuring tranquillity for those around them, something to which we are very attentive. Site patrols at night ensure that this tranquillity is respected for all.

> AT WHAT TIME DO THE ACTIVITIES END ON THE CAMPSITE?

The open-air activities end at 10 PM.

> Heated swimming pool

The swimming pool is heated, and open all season long from 9 AM to 7 PM. And the temperature? The target temperature is 25°. We are equipped with heat pumps. After several days of fine weather in succession, the water temperature reaches 28°, from the month of May onwards. In July and August, the water temperature varies between 25° & 29°... It's very pleasant, whatever the temperature.

> What sort of swimwear should I wear in the pool?

During the holiday season, only "classic" bathing costumes or "body hugging" bathing shorts are allowed in the pool. Bermuda shorts and other bathing shorts are prohibited.

> How deep is the swimming pool?

The pool depth varies from 30 cm to 1.60 m (1.60 m in the whole "main pool" area, 30 cm in the paddling pool). In July and August, the pool is reserved for 1h in the mornings 3 times a week to allow us to run aquagym classes in complete safety. During this hour, it is only possible to access the pool and its surrounds to take part in these classes. Why not come along and try a few exercises with us!

> In the mobile homes: cot, high chair and baby bath

In the mobile homes, cots, high chairs and baby baths are supplied upon request at no additional cost. However, you should mention this at the time you make your reservation. If you only request this upon arrival, the loan of this equipment will be subject to availability. The cot is provided without a mattress.

> Grills and barbecues on your pitch

Only charcoal or gas barbecues and gas plancha grills are accepted... Electric plancha grills and barbecues use too much electricity. Thank you for your cooperation. If you don't want to be burdened by bringing along a barbecue/plancha in your car, you can rent one from reception. During the high season, we recommend that you reserve this at the time you make your booking.

> Is Spain very far away?

Spain is very near. By road, Irun, a border town well-known for its shops, is only 19km away. San Sebastián, the capital of the Basque country, is 20km further on. Another possibility: Hondarribia at 24km away, the first fortified Spanish village you encounter following the coast road. Take the time to discover its old streets and take advantage of your visit to enjoy some excellent traditional tapas.

> Where can I go shopping in Saint-Jean-de-Luz?

On the campsite itself, you'll find a grocery store and bread shop. When it comes to shops, Saint-Jean-de-Luz has plenty: roughly 1.5 km from the campsite you'll find a Carrefour hypermarket, in addition to a Lidl and E.Leclerc Drive in the Jaldai shopping area. There’s also a very pleasant market in Saint-Jean-de-Luz town centre (approximately 5 km from the campsite) on Tuesday and Saturday mornings all year round. And every day, there are markets in the surrounding villages>

> Walking to Saint-Jean-de-Luz town centre and its main beach

Located just 600 m from the campsite, you can walk it to the Cenitz pebble beach. However, if you prefer, you can go from the campsite to the town centre (including its Rue Gambetta, a pedestrianised street, and Place Louis XIV, a key area for nightlife at the main beach). You should plan on 5 km by road, 8 km via the coastal footpath. To get there: you can walk it if you're a good walker or go by bicycle via the coastal path. There's a council-run shuttle bus (but the last one is at midnight). Finally, there's the taxi, a solution for getting back late, as a group.

> Holiday vouchers, cheques, bank cards ...

We accept payments by bank cheques, chèques vacances (French holiday vouchers) and Visa or Mastercard. You can use these when booking. You can make a secure payment by bank card by booking directly on the website’s reservation page. The payment transaction is secure and this is the fastest reservation method. We do not accept VACAF vouchers as payment. However, we will complete the CAF forms which you yourself can send to your benefit office, along with the receipt for your stay.

> The beach

Cenitz beach is 600m from the campsite. A little further on (approximately 3 km), we recommend Uhabia beach in Bidart. Car parking near Club Émeraude. This is the beach club where you can enjoy sea kayaking, stand up paddling or windsurfing centre free of charge simply by presenting your campsite wristband. To the right of the club, the beach slopes downward gently. Children love it. All of the beaches are supervised and cleaned every day in the summer. And your dog? Like most places these days, dogs are not allowed on the supervised beaches, as is the case for all beaches in the Basque country.

> Holidaying in a mobile home: what should I bring along?

Travel light! Sheets and bath towels are available for a surcharge as part of the mobile home rental so don't overload your car unnecessarily. For baby, a cot, high chair and bath are available on-loan free of charge. You should simply state this on your rental agreement.

> Pets

Dogs are allowed on the campsite (less than 10 kg into rentals) as long as they are kept on a leash. They should not be left alone on the pitch or in the mobile homes. We reserve the right to refuse access to pets which appear hostile or noisy. Category 1 and 2 dogs are not allowed.
